Learn what different lenses do in your safety glasses.

Mstore – Riley – Safety Glasses and lens options

It is critical not to cut corners when it comes to eye protection. Finding a pair of safety glasses best suited to your work can ensure maximum safety.

Riley eye protection glasses feature robust polycarbonate lenses. These provide high-performance protection from impacts while delivering perfect optical quality for every wearer under EN 166 regulations.

How can you determine your perfect safety glasses?

When considering lens types within safety goggles, it is essential to take daily operations into account. For example, will they be for indoor or outdoor use? , Is blue-light or eye strain reduction important? Is glare a problem you currently face?

In some instances, you may need an ‘allrounder lens’ with particular specialities, such as contrast or depth perception boosting properties.

Once you have decided on the perfect lens it is time to build your safety glasses, we offer a range of frames including hardwearing metal, stylish sunglass and lightweight rubberised plastic, perfect for any application.

What are the safety lens options?

The Riley range provides UV protection as standard, protecting your eyes against the sun’s harmful effects while making it easier to see in brightly lit conditions. Making all of the range suitable for transitional use between environments.

Perfect for indoor use

LED

With 69% visible light transmission (VLT), LED lenses have been specially designed with engineering and vehicle manufacturing industries in mind. Boasting a soothing brown tint that reduces eye strain, these lenses offer total clarity and heightened contrast.

Blue

With vision and contrast-enhancing properties at 65% VLT, these lenses are particularly suited to indoor work, particularly in the presence of yellow light or sodium vapour.

For bright environments

Grey

A brightness reducing tint (14% VLT) reduces eye fatigue and decreases glare without colour distortion, ideally suited for both indoor and outdoor applications.

Polarised

Safety glasses with these lenses are best suited to outdoor work. Particularly when operating around water due to their unparalleled glare protection and 10% VLT.

REVO

With a higher VLT, sitting at 26%, the REVO lenses have been designed for bright outdoor work where clarity is key, offering glare reduction.

Anti-Reflective

With 90% VLT, these lenses are best suited to electronic applications, providing optimum colour perception. The high-performance anti-reflective coating dramatically reduces internal lens reflection, enhancing the overall clarity.

For low light conditions

Twilight

These multipurpose lenses are great for those wanting high colour perceptivity and striking contrast at 55% VLT. Perfect for workers during dawn and dusk, where visibility is typically lower. These lenses can also be used indoors, offering up to 75% blue light filtration, reducing eye strain.

Amber

By blocking blue light, these lenses can boost depth perception and contrast, providing you with a brighter field of vision in poorly lit conditions, ideal for overcast or foggy conditions.

The allrounders

Clear

Providing accurate colour recognition and 92% VLT these are ideal for more general use, adapting to both indoor and outdoor work in standard or low light conditions.

Indoor/Outdoor

With 60% VLT, these general-purpose safety lenses provide clarity in various environments, perfect for transport and logistics workers or those who change settings frequently.
